Stuart B. Cholewa
Stuart B. Cholewa is a Senior Partner with Pressman & Cholewa. He began his career with his current firm’s predecessor, The Law Offices of Michael E. Pressman, after graduating from the University of Miami School of Law in 2003. Prior to that Stuart attended Syracuse University. His practice is focused on the defense of a wide variety of cases including New York State Labor Law, premises, motor vehicle, products liability, and wrongful death cases from inception through trial. He also has a significant amount of experience in the Appellate Division, where he has successfully argued numerous appeals.
In his free time, Stuart enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and watching his favorite teams.
Eric S. Feynes
Eric is a partner who handles the defense of a wide array of liability claims and specializes in the defense of property damage cases, including damage caused by fire, water and adjacent construction. He also prosecutes subrogation and property damage matters on behalf of various insurance carriers and uninsured plaintiffs.
Eric graduated from Touro University Law School and his interests include community and family.
Vanessa T. Gottfried
Paul Biedka
Paul is an Associate Attorney with nearly four decades of experience in personal injury litigation including complex litigation, products liability, medical and professional malpractice, premises liability, and motor vehicle negligence. He is also a proud graduate of New York Law School.
In his free time, Paul enjoys being outdoors and collecting things that inspire him.
Michael E. Pressman
Michael is the founding partner of Pressman & Cholewa’s predecessor, The Law Offices of Michael E. Pressman. Michael is well versed in all aspects of the insurance defense industry. He is a graduate of Rutgers Law School and has had an accomplished legal career, as well as serving as past Chairman and President of the New York City Trial Lawyers.
Michael enjoys golfing, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Robert S. Bonelli
Bob is a Senior Trial Attorney with decades of experience in all aspects of insurance defense liability including Labor Law, premises, and automobile. He is a graduate of Fordham University Law School.
Bob enjoys attending Yankees games with his sons.
Gregory R. Jakubow
Gregory Jakubow is a senior associate and focuses on insurance defense litigation in areas ranging from premises liability, construction accidents, automobile accidents, and insurance coverage disputes. His prior experience in the financial services industry provided him with a strong foundation to allow him to quickly identify indicators of fraud, which has proven to be a tremendous asset to the firm and our clients. Greg received his law degree from St. John’s University.
Outside of work, Gregory enjoys CrossFit, weight training, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and he is always looking for new opportunities and experiences to expand upon his knowledge and skills.
Steven H. Cohen
Steven is a Partner at Pressman & Cholewa and is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law. His responsibilities include the supervision of associate attorneys in all phases of the tort liability cases. He is also responsible for the handling of defense of tort cases, from inception to conclusion, including drafting of pleadings, legal research, motion practice, depositions, mediations, drafting of mediation contentions and trials in New York and New Jersey. The areas of practice include products liability, construction/labor law, premises liability, automobile liability, Dram Shop cases, and negligent assault and battery cases.
In his free time, Steven enjoys sailing, hiking, traveling, and reading.
Vanessa is a partner at the firm and handles all aspects of insurance defense litigation. She is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School. Vanessa performs legal research, drafts motions, appellate briefs and discovery, and attends court conferences, motions, and depositions. She particularly enjoys negotiating settlements and mediating cases.
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys being with family, baking, pilates and traveling.
Seth J. Feinstein
Seth Feinstein is a Senior Associate specializing in construction and premises liability defense litigation. He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2013.
In his free time, Seth enjoys hiking, live jazz, and exploring new places.
